Mustaqbal: We Call on All Political Forces to Respect Internal Dialogue on International Investigation

The Mustaqbal bloc repeated on Friday its support for the Special Tribunal for Lebanon "that all the Lebanese agreed on to protect political diversity."

It said in a statement after a meeting headed by Prime Minister Saad Hariri at the Center House: "We call on all political forces to respect the internal dialogue on the international investigation and respect the laws that protect the components of Lebanese society."

It added that justice and stability form the basis of Lebanon's democratic system and therefore "there can be no talk of a new parliamentary system without justice that protects freedom of expression given the political assassinations."

Addressing the recent Dahiyeh incident, the bloc stressed that the international investigators headed to the medical clinic in order to acquire information on telephone numbers, and not medical records, which was stipulated in a statement by Dr. Iman Sharara herself.
