Several people were killed and injured in a rocket attack on a Lebanese bus in a Syrian area overlooking the Lebanese border village of al-Qaa in eastern Lebanon, media reports said Saturday.

Initial reports said one person was killed and three others injured when the rocket hit the bus, which was carrying pilgrims to Iraq, after it crossed the Lebanese border and reached the area of al-Jousiyeh.

According to the National News Agency Mohammed Klib al-Talla died after sustaining severe injuries, while Ahmed Shames was transferred to a hospital in Zahle.

The NNA added that 2 other people, Zainab el-Hilou and Majida Allam, were wounded during the attack and transferred to Hermel Public Hospital.

However, Lebanese security officials told the Associated Press that six people were killed and 21 wounded in the attack.

The officials said five Syrians and a Lebanese were killed in the attack.

It was not immediately clear who launched the assault, or how many of the dead were on the bus or bystanders.

obvious with the attempted assadsination of geagea and the attack on this lebanon bus that syria is trying to bring chaos and civil war to lebanon now.

This is what happens when you break the neutrality of Lebanon. Taking sides in conflict we dont have anything to do with, costs.

true, the opposition and the sitting ones. Meaning both 14 and 8. Hezb. and hariri and so on...

...Need all to shut up and not taking sides. But of course SPECIALLY the ones in control of the government, because they now represent Lebanon.

Almost every day sunni kills shiite in Iraq and now in bahrain and syria. When will iran say f*** with all that and start doing something about it. Ten yrs, in the name of unity we eat sh*t the qaeda. Enough! Enough! They always attack us and cry babes when we hit hard. Let's hit back hard and deep.. Let them run to the americans and beg for help. Seriously... Enough! We tried to help the palestinian cause and what did we get in return.. They asked the israeli to attack in 2006

Hizbollah warriors hiding among women, children and elderly....a well known tactic. Did you see on the news from the hospital? All the young men wore hospital facial masks, while the women and elderly did not. Are they so shy or is it something else?

The useless minister that defended Syria in every Arab or International gathering should summons the Syrian ambassador in Lebanon and declare on national TV that Syria must do more to protect the Lebanese in Syria and the borders. Regardless of who was on the bus, the Lebanese dead on Syrian soil is the responsibility Syria. If the Lebanese ministry does not speak up then the minister must resign.
