March 14 Slams Hizbullah’s ‘Provocation’ of Comparing Hariri Assassination Suspects to Saints
إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربيةThe March 14 General Secretariat condemned on Wednesday Hizbullah’s “provocation” of comparing four suspects in the assassination of former Premier Rafik Hariri to saints.
It said in a statement after its weekly meeting: “These stands demonstrate the party’s nervousness ahead of the unveiling of the truth.”
The first phase of the indictment in the Special Tribunal for Lebanon included arrest warrants against four Hizbullah members.
The party had repeatedly said that it would not cooperate with the tribunal, with MP Nawwaf al-Moussawi comparing the suspects to saints over their role in Hizbullah.
The deadline for handing over the suspects is set to end soon, said the March 14 statement.
This will be followed with the publication of the indictment and the details of the accusations, it noted.
Furthermore, the statement condemned the “Hizbullah-led campaign against former Prime Minister Saad Hariri”, deeming it an attempt to politically assassinate him.
“The campaign is doomed to fail given the March 14 forces’ determination to confront any coup and illegitimate arms at the time Lebanese and Arab people have achieved the victory for dignity, freedom, justice, and democracy,” it stressed.
The General Secretariat also condemned Tuesday’s attack against a United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon patrol, labeling it as an attack against U.N. Security Council resolution 1701 and Lebanon’s commitments to international agreements.
It noted that the attack took place “at a suspicious time and it falls in favor of Israel’s interests and that of a certain regional alliance.”
“These attacks would not have taken place in the first place had it not been for Hizbullah’s hostile positions towards international agreements,” the statement said.
On the anti-regime demonstrations in Syria, the March 14 forces called on the Arab League to assume its responsibilities in the matter and work on halting the bloodshed.
“The success of the revolt will pave the way for a new chapter in ties between Syria and Lebanon and Syria and the region,” it remarked.
“It will present a chance for the establishment of civil peace in Lebanon that has long been manipulated by the Syrian regime,” added the statement.
Bigdig it usually takes for days in Syria and Iran to take a so called suspects, court marshall and chop his head. It s taken 4 years to the STL with 250 experts gathering collecting scientifically forensic evidence against the criminals! They won t get off the hook easily. The presumptipn of innocence if for the local observers purely theoratical, and notional! The masks have dropped and the Hizb has systematically indicted himself with his late obvipus behaviour! For the STL from a procedure stanpoint, only, they can claim they haven' t been indicted.
We are all happy if the Hizb arms are aimed at Israel; instead, Hizbullah is becoming like all other Arab armies, having a raison-d'être to protect their regimes and NOT to fight Israel!! When was the last time the Syrian army has killed any Israeli soldier??
farsi and wahhabies are nurturing each other, they are the same devil, farsis get their force from battling the wahabies and the opposite is right.
as for bothering israel,it is the same devilish game,
israel..iran...saudi/wahaby...
trying to "liberate" palestine by letting mr faqih occupy bilad el arz.?????????/
Who is making the big deal? really are you that dense? Who is the one who will not cooperate? who is the one who said he will not hand in the suspects (and yes they are still suspects, and not guilty) What do you want M14 to talk about? the only major difference is HA weapons, you know the weapons that killed oh i wont try and guess the number of lebanese... the weapons that killed Samer Hanna and the killer got away scot free.,. the weapons that decide the fate of the lebanese and launch a war whenever it suits their masters agenda.. the weapons that will not allow the government from demolishing illegal houses,, the weapons that dont allow the Electricty guy to collect payments owed.. shall i go on??? Let us get real and admit that the state can never survive with a stronger force holding a knife over its neck.
It is the problem with having a political movement justified on a fundamentalist view of religion. The other day, Mr. Kaouk referred to those who oppose the Hezbollah stand on the STL as "sinners" and now they are calling those who have been indicted as "saints". How do "sinners" and "saints" figure into a political discussion or a legal prosecution. Political oppoents do not sin by opposing one's position and those who have been accused of crimes do not acquire the status of sainthood, they are merely deemed, innocent until proven guilty.
And who can name sins but God, or one who acts on God's authority? Who can declare sainthood, but God, or one who acts on God's authority? The Party of God, Hezb Allah is an oxymoron. God has no political party and anyone who claims to act politically in God's name is a blasphemer. Now there's a religious word that means -- illigitimate.
Dont they have anything else to think of , to do or to say , but their F..; shaheed rafik eben fahen ben sandal these march 14 ?? What about all the money he stole with his gang on their head fouad siniora ! What about the 75 billion dollars he left US to pay ??
Yes the so called suspects are SAINTS and should be decorated by the president of the Republic and honored officially for what they did by the Lebanese government , and this will happen soon . They saved Lebanon from that Wahhaby pig and thief . we owe them respect .
we will get over the devil for sure, and we will do"something" for our country bilad el arz.
god bless ahrar sourya, who started the COSTLY LIBERATION.
While there are Nasrallah sheep here who think those who kill rival politicians are saints and can't disguish between using weapons on the streets of Beirut against the Lebanese and using them against Israel, MOST Lebanese disagree and will be happy to see the back of the turbanned rat when his precious Syrian regime falls.
because who put them under suspicion are corrupted, making business out of Lebanon destiny. the killers are there close to you.
Mowaten that's not true, the whole country isn't hezbollahstan uk. About a million came out to the slogan of no illegitimate weapons! And I'm also sure the families of the innocent civilians caught in the middle of the may 7 tragedy would disagree also
mowaten & bigdig:
Le Phenicien tient absolument à vous accompagner et vos "saints" seraient bien heureux de le recevoir. Ne le décevez pas il veut sa part d'odeur de sainteté.
No one of you noticed that the Islamic view of Christianity is positive. Moreover Lebanese they have common values and a tradition for instance recognizing and admiring Christian concepts by a Lebanese Islamic party is an extremely positive trend…..and vis versa ( Hundred of examples are available)
Again Lebanese melting pot has forged one culture but only haters and criminals will try to divide the Lebanese…..
I believe Fatoush and tabouleh are Lebanese despite some might argue that fatoush is Muslim and Tabouleh is Christian.......
Cheers
These Israeli stooges talk about anything but the threats of Israel against Lebanon and its resources. What do they have to say about this subject anyway? That they will undress, like Imbecile Saad, under the humongous portrait of the illiterate King Kong, and head south to defend the nation? The only thing that they know how to do well is crawl as they used to do on their numerous trips to Anjar, or in the case of Dr. Criminal, crawl all the way to Syria to offer his condolences to his secret master Hafez when his son Bassel died. amn al moujtama3 al tojliti fawqa koul e3tibar. Never forget that. NEVER.
There are persons and among them le phenicien who continuously accuse Hariri of being responsible of the 65 billions debt. Yes from 1991 till 2005 Hariri was robbing the state, but was he the only one? During this period everybody knows -including March 8 supporters- that ALL the officials were stealing, and it was an organized robbery! each one was granted a sector from which he was stealing and they were cooperating with each others in harmony love and peace! Nabih Barreh with his jnoub majlis and the port, Michel el Murr and his gangs, Lahoud and the fuel, Jumblat, etc.. the mobile phone network etc... each one of our representatives was eating and was contributing to this debt and this under the benediction of the syrians!. Do you think that Nabih Barreh would be looking in silence at Hariri stealing for 15 years ?? so shut up le phenicien. But for you, all those who stood up against the syrians became the only robbers, while those who remained their dogs are the gentlemens.
