Shalom: We Will Have to Return Nasrallah to his Underground Hideout

Israeli deputy Prime Minister Silvan Shalom threatened on Friday Hizbullah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah by saying: “We are not keen on battle, but if it is imposed on us, them we will return you Nasrallah to the underground hideout where you will stay for years.”

Israeli deputy Prime Minister Silvan Shalom warned on Tuesday that Hizbullah was consolidating its military capabilities in contravention with U.N. Security Council resolution 1701.

He told the Herzliya Conference on “The Balance of Israel’s National Strength and Security" that Lebanon is the only country where a party has representatives in parliament and at the same time military capabilities.

Israel Hails New Iran sanctions but Says More Must Be Done

Israel hailed the U.N. Security Council's decision on Wednesday to slap a fourth set of punitive sanctions on Iran but said more must be done to prevent it from acquiring nuclear weapons.
