Hizbullah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah criticized on Friday the March 14 camp's accusations against some Shiites in Lebanon of seeking to eliminate other powers in Lebanon.

He warned: “Such a proclamation is a declaration of war.”

Head of the Mustaqbal bloc MP Fouad Saniora rejected on Tuesday Hizbullah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah's claims that Saudi Arabia was behind the recent bombings near the Iranian embassy in Beirut.

He said: “We have grown accustomed to officials in Lebanon making baseless accusations.”

Hizbullah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah on Tuesday accused Saudi Arabia of being behind the deadly bombings that targeted the Iranian embassy in southern Beirut, denying that large numbers of Hizbullah fighters were killed in the Syrian war.

Fugitive Islamist cleric Ahmed al-Asir on Tuesday warned Christians that bombings might target their areas, citing Hizbullah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah's latest speech, in which he said that Takfiris might target any Lebanese region with the aim of inciting strife.

In a new audio recording uploaded to the Internet, Asir extended condolences to “our people in Tripoli, (Syria's) Ghouta and Egypt,” in reference to the twin bombings that left 45 people dead and more than 500 injured in the northern city and the alleged chemical attack near Damascus.

Fugitive Islamist cleric Ahmed al-Asir on Monday noted that the deadly Ruwais bombing was “a normal result of the crimes committed by (Hizbullah chief Sayyed Hassan) Nasrallah and his party against our brothers in Syria."

"Nasrallah used a provocative rhetoric to secure further hegemony over the Lebanese,” Asir said, referring to the speech delivered by Nasrallah in the wake of the blast.

Hizbullah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said that the ground battle with Israelis is easier than the disputes among the foes locally, As Safir newspaper quoted him as saying on Wednesday.

“The target is always clear during battles with the Israelis and the options are limited, while locally the difficulties are limitless,” Nasrallah pointed out.

Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblat noted on Monday that years ago Hizbullah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah has sought to liberate all of Lebanese occupied territory, but the party is now seeking to liberate the whole of Palestine from Israeli occupation.

He said in response to Nasrallah's recent speech: “Let the Palestinians decide their fate themselves.”

British Ambassador to Lebanon Tom Fletcher denied on Wednesday that blacklisting Hizbullah is a justification for Israeli action in the country.

“Blacklisting Hizbullah's military wing is not a justification for Israeli action in Lebanon, but it meant to deter the party's action in Europe,” Fletcher tweeted shortly after the party chief's speech on Wednesday.
