Ubisoft Taking Blockbuster 'Assassin's Creed' to Big Screen

Videogame firm Ubisoft is moving into the film business with an adaptation of its blockbuster title "Assassin's Creed" -- sidestepping the Hollywood movie machine by producing the film itself.

With rising star Michael Fassbender of "Prometheus" and "X:Men: First Class" fame signed on to play the title role, the film will be the first produced by Ubisoft Motion Pictures, a division set up by the Paris-based firm so it can retain creative control over adaptations of its game franchises.

Female singers dominated the top of Forbes' list of the highest-paid celebrities under the age of 30, released Thursday, starting with country pop sensation Taylor Swift.

The business magazine said the 22-year-old Swift earned $57 million in the 12 months to May, a period that included the North American and Australasian legs of her 111-concert "Speak Now" tour.

Bob Dylan Rejects Claim over First Electric Guitar

Bob Dylan dismissed Thursday a claim that a woman in New Jersey has the guitar he played at the Newport Folk Festival in 1965, when he was infamously booed for going electric.

A lawyer for the music icon said Dylan still has the Fender Stratocaster guitar which he played on July 25, 1965, prompting boos which forced him off stage after only three songs.

Bob Dylan and historians at PBS are in a dispute over the whereabouts of an electric guitar that the singer plugged in at the Newport Folk Festival in 1965, quite possibly the most historic single instrument in rock 'n' roll.

The New Jersey daughter of a pilot who flew Dylan to appearances in the 1960s says she has the guitar, which has spent much of the past 47 years in a family attic. But a lawyer for Dylan claims the singer still has the Fender Stratocaster with the sunburst design that he used during one of the most memorable performances of his career.

Actress Kristin Chenoweth was injured on the set of the CBS drama "The Good Wife" and taken by ambulance to a hospital, her publicist and the show's producer said.

Chenoweth's medical condition following the Wednesday afternoon accident in New York was not disclosed by publicist Jill Fritzo or CBS Television Studios. It was not immediately known if she was hospitalized.

The Los Angeles County Coroner's Office has neither confirmed nor denied the report by celebrity news website TMZ last week that the cause has been altered from "accident" to "undetermined" following the November revival of a probe into what happened.
