Arnold Schwarzenegger arrived back in his native country of Austria on Thursday where he is to visit a museum devoted to his eventful life in Thal, the village where he was born 64 years ago.
The former Mister Universe bodybuilding champion, movie star and California governor landed in a private jet at Graz airport before being whisked away in a dark blue Bentley, first of all to visit his mother Aurelia's grave.
The "Styrian Oak" has also brought with him a life-sized bronze statue of himself in his former bodybuilding prime that he will unveil at the museum, billed as the world's only one, on Friday.
Among the 1,000 objects and photos on display are his very first weights, the desk he sat behind as California governor and trailers from his various films, while a "Terminator" model stands guard in a corner.
Since leaving office in California earlier this year, Schwarzenegger has mostly made headlines with his divorce from Maria Shriver, a niece of U.S. president John F. Kennedy, after admitting fathering a child with the couple's former housekeeper.
Austrian media have even speculated that he may want to become involved in the Alpine country's politics.
