The March 8 MPs are looking forward for calm parliamentary sessions and will not resort to escalatory rhetoric out of their keenness on the country’s stability, a high-ranking source in the parliamentary majority told As Safir daily Monday.

The source said, however, that if March 14 MPs make escalatory statements, then the March 8 lawmakers would give the appropriate response.

“Every slap in the face would be met with a similar slap,” the source told the newspaper.

The three-day sessions that are scheduled to kick off on Tuesday morning are aimed at discussing the policy statement of Premier Najib Miqati’s cabinet and giving the government the vote of confidence.

Speaker Nabih Berri’s sources told Ad-Diyar newspaper that the parliamentary sessions would be carried live on television.

They said Berri is determined to have order during the sessions. He would interfere if the need arises to prevent strong verbal attacks between pro- and anti-government lawmakers.

Mikati should be slapped with strict financial sanctions inside & out of Lebanon.
This guy cannot lead Lebanon and all Lebanese to confront the UN & dump us all in an Ayatolla's lawless environment.
He must be punished now.

long live our irresponsible politicians! since 2005 what did they do for the country? NOTHING...
all they did was preserving their interests, their power , and their confortable seats!
every time a new excuse in order not to tackle the true issues of the country: water, electricity, salaries, anarchic buildings, environment pollution, infrastructures, transport etc etc...

all they do is block the ones in power to avoid making reforms and accuse them of doing nothing...
and now it seems the story will repeat itself! with a new irresponsible oppostion against a new irresponsible majority!
