Mansour Heads to Qatar to Attend Arab League Summit

Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour is expected to travel to Qatar on Saturday to take part in the Arab foreign ministers meeting ahead of an Arab League summit scheduled for next week, reported al-Liwaa newspaper Saturday.

President Michel Suleiman is set to attend the Arab League summit that is scheduled to convene on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Lebanon's Ambassador to Qatar Hassan Saad is expected to join the president's delegation.

Adnan Mansewer will be in Qatar representing Syria in his Syrian vice foreign minster capacity which, after the fall of the Miqati cabinet, he now can dedicate his full time to.

Hey, don't worry lads and lassies, Mansour is going as a representative of Syria and its interests. All Lebanese know that. Let's hope the now-21-member Arab League keeps that in mind too.
