Military Examining Magistrate Judge Fadi Sawan questioned on Monday a detainee from al-Hujairi family, who was wanted on an arrest warrant for involvement in an ambush of a military patrol in the northeastern border town of Arsal.

Voice of Lebanon radio (100.5) identified the detainee as Ahmed al-Hujairi.

Sawan also issued four arrest warrants in absentia against four suspects, whose whereabouts are unknown.

The army has so far arrested 11 people in its crackdown on assailants linked to the February 1 clashes that broke out in Arsal.

Two officers were killed in the clashes as the army patrol that was seeking to arrest a wanted suspect.

The army has since intensified its security around the town in an effort to arrest the assailants.

President Michel Suleiman, Prime Minister Najib Miqati and several officials have continuously called on the residents of Arsal to hand over the culprits.

Last week, dozens of Arsal residents burned tires and blocked roads to protest the tight security measures in the town.

As much as Assad has done to Lebanese, especially what this regime has done to Christians, it is far from what Sunni extremists will do to us. I hesitate to admit it. I know how many Syrians have killed my family members in Zahle, and many Christians, assassinations in recent years... But I am telling you all, the Salafi are 100X worse and there are less moderate Sunni our there than you think. They are growing. When is the last time you saw Shia cut off American heads? Many Sunni are becoming more extreme. I would rather live as a Christian in Iran than Saudi Arabia or even Egypt.

If the Sunni like these guys in Arsal had the power like HA, they would be killing soldiers and Christians 10X the assassinations HA does not via Syria influence. I'm not saying HA doesn't pick us off here and there when we get someone with momentum, or to cause strife or fear, its just that I promise you it would be 100x worse if the Assir guys ran things.
