Downtown Beirut launched on Saturday the end-of-year festivities with a Christmas parade and the lighting of a tree in Beirut Souks.

“The festivities kicked off with shows performed by musical bands, acrobats and Christmas characters including Santa Clause,” a statement by Solidere said.

The company pointed out that the “shows will continue to entertain visitors throughout the whole month.”

On December 8 “Magical Santa's Village” will be inaugurated.

The celebrations will include a sacred music festival organized for the fifth year in a row under the slogan “Beirut Chants,” until December 25.

yeah... Mark my words, lebanon is a phoenix. Like the sun that rises after the lebanese storm, the situation in lebanon gets better after the storm.
Soon, Assad will be out, Iran will have bankrupted, Lebanon will be a wealthy oil nation, and a new centrist political current will be governing lebanon.

Oh, you believe in Santa Claus it seems?

Nice wishes though. Add to it no arms for Hezb & peace with our neighbors. Then I will pray with you.

Glad to see the replacement of the tants with something to attract the citizens and revive the economy of this poor country.

glad to see this country wasting heaps of money on a magic santa show to entertain the happy few while 130k refugees from syria perish around the corner. what was this xmas thought about, again? once more humanity is on the losing side in lebanon - this time to commercialism, not guns. dream on, lebanon_first...
