Report: National Dialogue to Be Postponed to Nov. 29 to Cover up Opposition's Errors

The national dialogue session that has been set for November 12 will likely be postponed to November 29, reported As Safir newspaper on Tuesday.

It said that the postponement may be aimed at “covering up the errors” of the March 14-led opposition.

It explained that several members of the camp received European and foreign messages urging them to return to the all-party talks.

The March 14 camp had announced a boycott of the talks, as well as all government-linked activity, in light of the assassination of Internal Security Forces Intelligence Bureau chief Brigadier General Wissam al-Hasan.

It blamed Syria for the crime and has demanded that the government, which is formed of mainly pro-Syria forces, step down because of its failure to preserve stability and security in Lebanon.

President Michel Suleiman has meanwhile been maintaining his contacts with various members of the national dialogue in order to ensure that the session will be held.

Hasan was killed in a car bomb in Beirut's Ashrafiyeh district on October 19.

it cannot be called a dialogue since the main point on which M14 wants to discuss is out of the question...
it s rather an M8 monologue they want!

"on the one point that is non-negotiable?"

dialogue means discuss EVERYTHING... so you just said it: "we can talk only on what WE want" ....

whatever way you twist it mowaten you won t achieve to persuade us that this is a dialogue, as facts speak against you as usual....

Hizbullah's idea of negotiation: "We can discuss everything except what we think is non-negotiable, and in the end we don't care what you want, what we want will happen, and you better agree or we will kill you, because if you don't agree then you are pro-Israeli and you are a traitor and should be killed".

Never threatened to kill? When Nasrallah says that they will cut the hand of anyone that attempts to take away their weapons? I don't know how you take that but it sounds like a threat to me! And by the way, you are differentiating HA from the armed militia men from 2008? HA is an armed militia!!! and they didn't kill? My friends fiance was killed along with his mother back then, by HA and co. who were firing at anyone who crossed the street. They are not resisting Israel anymore, they are a threat to Lebanon, they are fighting in Syria and using their weapons to intimidate the Lebanese. Enough BS.

Such a dialogue, if ever it is held, will as usual lead to nothing in discussions.
but this time round, its failure will lead to sectarian strife.

Missing peace 30 October 2012, 15:22

yes sure, you are right as usual...

yeah, m8 wants a cuntry that is doing what syria and iran wants even at the expense of Lebanon.
and they call this a country!
we want a sovereign Lebanon, obviously something traitors do not understand.
we want a country where there is accountability, and criminals are brought to justice, not the law of the jungle.
we want a country where aoun cannot manipulate the judiciary about his funny fake attempt on his life.
but no, this is called isolationism and not patriotism.

H.A does not want to partition because they want the whole country to plunder not a country in which they are law-abiding citizens.

Missing samiam 30 October 2012, 13:02

Anyway, what does M8 want to talk about? I haven't heard them articulate any position except their arms.

Missing samiam 30 October 2012, 17:24

no your problem is that they don't have any position on anything except their arms. Name any other position that they have: what do they want: free electricity, free land, to not be be bothered in their territories, etc.

wait, they have been doing that already....

March 14 ,despite the support it receives from publications like Naharnet, salafists, Saudis ,lunatics Christians, the USA, the STL and of course ,Israel has just encountered the limits of it's possibilties. Jumblatt has counted the numbers and done his Druze thing. Harari compounded the mistake by throwing a rich boy temper tantrum when he couldn't steal the government in a street coup. Get ready for the new normal and complain, complain, whine and predict the imminent demise of Assan and Nasrallah.

Your side is the pro when it comes to taking over power by assassinating and intimidating the opposition. And you do it so well.
