Arrests Made over Zahle Jail Incident

A number of arrests were made on Sunday over the Zahle prison incident on Saturday that left one inmate dead, reported the National News Agency.
It said that three officers, three soldiers, and five inmates from the Mazloum family were arrested over the dispute.
Al-Jadeed television added on Sunday that inmates at the jail staged a hunger strike over the death of fellow inmate Abbas Fayyad Zoaiter.
Zoaiter was killed on Saturday from injuries he sustained in a dispute between the Zoaiter family and others.
