Assad Supporters Thank Russia, China in Beirut Demo
إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربيةHundreds of Syrian and Lebanese supporters of the regime of President Bashar Assad staged a rally in Beirut on Sunday to thank Russia and China for supporting the Damascus regime, Agence France Presse reported.
Demonstrators held posters bearing slogans including "Thank you Russia!" and "Lebanon for ever with Assad's Syria," and also chanted slogans against Saudi Arabia and Qatar, which support the anti-regime revolt.
They also waved flags of Syria, Damascus' main regional ally Iran and Lebanon's Hizbullah.
Since the anti-regime uprising broke out in Syria in March last year, Moscow and Beijing have vetoed three draft U.N. Security Council resolutions aimed at pressuring Assad's regime.
The pro-Assad demo coincided with a sit-in organized by Sheikh Ahmed al-Asir in support of the Syrian people, which was held a few hours later in downtown Beirut.
These people want to hold on to the thug mafia system that they live from. Times are changing and these people are living in the past. They need to get a job, pay for electricity, and forget about Beijing.
80% of these demonstrators are Lebanese of the shiites community and yet they want is to coexist, PARTITION IS THE ANSWER.
who cares, let them bark all they want, like they say in Syria "Akher eyamak ya mushmush" and lebanese are amazing at changing lanes, once the regime falls all bets are off and 80 percent of those who support bashar today will say the opposite tomorrow. Where are the germans that love hitler today?? 3 percent?
Amazing news!!! it is the easiest way to catch all the syrian secret agents in Lebanon... Thank you M8 :)
