March 14 Says Nabi Sheet Explosion Was 'Deliberate'
إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربيةThe Nabi Sheet explosion in a Hizbullah arms depot on Wednesday demonstrated the danger the party's weapons pose to Lebanon, reported al-Joumhouria newspaper on Thursday.
March 14 sources noted to the newspaper that the Hizbullah sought to demonstrate the power of the blast through the damage it caused, which is an indication that the explosion was deliberate.
They explained that in previous incidents, Hizbullah had sought to play down the severity of the explosion, but this time around it wanted to demonstrate its magnitude.
Furthermore, they noted that the blast took place less than 48 hours after Hizbullah's official announcement that one of its commanders was killed in the fighting raging in Syria.
“The development marks the end of the government's policy of disassociation from the Syrian crisis,” they added.
Prominent March 14 sources told An Nahar daily Thursday that cabinet “completely ignored” the explosion during its session on Wednesday, as well as the violation of its disassociation policy through the death of the Hizbullah commander in Syria.
They noted the lack of any official, security, or military presence in the town of Nabi Sheet on Wednesday in the aftermath of the explosion, except through a statement issued Wednesday night about army intelligence patrols in the region.
“The government will have to suffer the consequences of the incident, which will differ from the previous phase in Lebanon,” they said without elaborating.
“The opposition is beginning preparations to confront this reality,” they revealed.
The results of these preparations will be clear in a few days and they will be aimed at making the government assume its responsibilities towards the “dangerous” involvement in the Syrian crisis, they said.
Three Hizbullah fighters were killed and several other people wounded on Wednesday in a blast at a depot for old ammunition in the Bekaa town of Nabi Sheet, the party's media relations department said in a statement.
“The blast happened at a storehouse for old shells and ammunition and the remnants of the Israeli attacks on the area,” it added.
“This tragic explosion left three of our jihadist brothers martyred and several other people wounded,” Hizbullah stated, noting that “efforts are underway to address the incident's consequences in collaboration with the relevant authorities.”
the uncovered blatant lie of hizbushaitan about their direct involvement in the syrian conflict is not to be taken lightly, and it will have major repercussions.
everything is on the table now, and the offical lie of dissassociation is over too.
with the uncovering of the premeditated murdor f the sheikh in akkar, under the orders of the syrian regime, and carried out by the army will have extremely high repercussions that his cabinet will have to assume, as well as the army command for executing the orders of the syrian regime.
for all those constantly praising this army command: just shut up from now on.
"with the uncovering of the premeditated murdor f the sheikh in akkar"...
u blame the army of not doing its duty agsinst HA. and u r right.
But when the army do its job and stopped a convoi with arms going to a tense area, and then shoot a vehicle IN REPLY to coming under fire , u talk about "premeditated murdor".
This is why Lebanon will never have a strong army, and this is why militias will always be present and protected by the people !
when a report comes to the open affirmaing this murdor was a direct order from the syrian regime what do you say?
what a clearer proof do you want that the army executed this sheikh under the orders of the syrian regime?
you are surely in denial :)
maybe you should read how Syrian officials were trying to sow division and sectarian fighting in Lebanon especially in the norht. Then you know that Geha is right about it. Geha and myself and many others are in full support of the army period. However when its used to kill its citizen to saw strife, no we're against it yes.. what's wrong with that..what is hezbollah doing in Jabal Mohsen? do you know over a month ago, a soldier was shot by sharpshooting sniper from Jabal Mohsen.. only one shot and this professional has HA brand on it.
hypocrisy: the rage against individuals of the 7 billion population for insulting the prophet vs no concern for insulting the God of the Bible with their own lies, hate, murder, unrighteousness...
Hizbishaitan is always a problem for Lebanese and region, that is why was labeled a terrorist organization. Too bad that the Lebanese government providing them a cover with the help of the falling regimes of Iran and Syria, it is matter of time. Hezboshaitan massacare the future of their own children by rejecting all options for peace on table.
I think they blew up a building and threw around some of the corpses that came back from syria...
@azrak
please do not mind "people" like mowaten and ft as for them it will always be hard to ee the light :) they only see what they are endoctrined to see.....
poor guys, I really pitty them :)
stange that not a word from the gvt on this issue! army was prevented to go there but the gvt did not say a word that a political party is preventing the state to do its investigation job...not a word on the infiltration of the syrian army thsu a foreign army on lebanese soil! not a word from M8 who cry like virgins when israel cuts a tree on lebanese soil!
see the total hypocrisy...
