Former prime minister Saad Hariri on Sunday held talks in Doha with Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani and Prime Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem al-Thani.

Talks tackled “the latest developments in the Arab world,” his office said.

Earlier on Sunday, the Qatari premier threw an iftar banquet at his residence in honor of Hariri and the accompanying delegation, which was attended by Qatari State Minister for Foreign Affairs Khaled al-Attiya and a number of Qatari officials.

Hariri was accompanied by former MPs Bassem al-Sabaa and Ghattas Khouri, and his advisors Nader Hariri and Hani Hammoud, the ex-PM’s office said.

Following the talks, Hariri left for the Saudi city of Jeddah, the office added.

I used to think fi 100 wa7ad that can satisfy the sunni. I am not particularly adept of Saad boy. And i was very happy when he left. But I am coming back on my opinion. People will listen to the one who payed and helped them. And Hariri is the single person that payed the most to sunnis. I estimate he put dollars in almost every family. Hence their loyalty to him. So in spite of all his shortcomings, I think Saad is the best insurance we have against these unsettling sunni flare ups we are witnessing now(i know what u will say and I agree he has financed some of them)
