2 Children Die in Tripoli House Fire

Five-year-old Rayan al-Asmar and his younger brother Walid al-Asmar, 3, died when their apartment that lies at Dar al-Shamal building at the entrance of the Zahriyeh district was engulfed in flames on Sunday night, the newspaper said.
The initial investigation revealed that a burning candle caused the blaze, it said, but the family, neighbors and firefighters failed to save the kids.
The bodies of al-Asmar brothers were transported to the Islamic hospital morgue.
As Safir added that seven-months-old twins Youssef and Mohammed Khater suffered from smoke inhalation in the apartment that lies near the al-Asmar residence.
