Israel says killed 60 Hezbollah members in 2025
The Israeli army said it has killed over the past year 60 Hezbollah members and dismantled structures and weapons depots.
In a post on the X platform, the Israeli army said its troops assisted in directing ground and aerial fire in hundreds of focused operations in 2025.
More than a year of hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah largely ended with a November 2024 ceasefire, but Israel kept up its attacks on Lebanon, intensifying its strikes in January.
Last month, Israel struck Lebanon 87 times. Nearly half of the strikes targeted areas north of the Litani River.
As the Lebanese government begun implementing a plan to disarm Hezbollah, the Lebanese army said it completed the first phase of its plan to disarm the group, south of the Litani river, around 30 kilometers from the Israeli border.
Israel has criticized the army's progress as insufficient.
