Gemayel from Rome: Israeli Rejection of Peace Contributes to Emergence of Extremism in Region

Phalange Party leader Amin Gemayel blamed on Wednesday Israel for the ongoing state of instability in the Middle East.

He said: “Israel’s rejection of peace is contributing to the emergence of extremists in the region.”

He made his statements during his ongoing trip to Italy where he held talks with a number of officials, including former Foreign Minister Franco Frattini.

Gemayel continued: “Israel won’t be ready for peace before it completes its own ambitions.”

“This will negatively affect Lebanon, which is suffering from Israel’s pressure to naturalize Palestinians in Lebanon,” he added.

His talks in Rome also focused on the Syrian crisis and the need to fortify Lebanon against the repercussions of the unrest.

For his part, Frattini stressed the need for a dialogue of religions and civilizations in the region, adding that the international community is keen on ending the unrest in Syria.

For your information, Mr.Franco Frattini is no longer the Foreign Minister of Italy for quite some time now, Mr.Giulio Terzi is the Foreign Minister of Italy today, get your facts together.

Again Israel's minority yet powerful ruling party does not want peace. Peace will interfere with their wealth-sucking scheme that has been their priority for ages. Their filthy hands and dirt is evident throughout the USA...especially the media. They need to go!

Amine Gemayel's statement is not true. The rise of Islamic extremisim started before Israel was established. Take for example the Muslim Brotherhood that was founded in 1928 in Egypt as a fascist political party by the Islamic scholar and schoolteacher Hassan al-Banna, by the end of World War II (before Israel became a country) the MB had an estimated two million members. Its ideas had gained its supporters throughout the Arab world and influenced other Islamist groups with its "model of political activism combined with Islamic charity work". Its most famous slogan, used worldwide, is "Islam is the solution".

The extremist regimes in Iran and in Saudi Arabia are influenced by the Islamic Shariaa laws and not by Israel not wanting peace.

However, Gemayel's statement “Israel won’t be ready for peace before it completes its own ambitions” is 100% true.

this politician seems like a perpetual shooter in the foot, insisting on losing even when he is winning. What business does he have and what benefit does he gain for Lebanon by sticking his nose in an area outside his jurisdiction and volunteering enmity with our democratic neighbour Israel? I wish he shows similar courage when he speaks of the Syrian regime.

Nobody gave one iota for Amin 3al Fashal when he was president. Does anyone think that anybody would give half an iota for him today? Nobody will, even if he becomes a king.

The Answer is simple:

1. No to Iran, No to Saudi, No to Israel.
or
2. Yes to Iran, Yes to Saudi, Yes to Israel.

We simply cannot say yes to Iran and Saudi and no to Israel because this defeates the purpose of being equal and fair.

and it will ultimately kill the christians if we allow for only islamic indluence in lebanon
