Report: Army Intelligence Restraining Work of TV Crews in North
إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربيةMarch 14 opposition lawmaker Marwan Hamadeh told parliament on Wednesday that the Lebanese army intelligence in the North was putting restraints on the work of journalists in the area.
According to An Nahar daily on Thursday, Hamadeh was referring to an incident that took place earlier in the week when BBC was seeking to shoot a documentary on the Syrian refugees in the border region of Wadi Khaled.
It said the army intelligence in the northern district of Akkar asked the crew to hand it a copy of the investigative reporting.
Similar measures have also been implemented with other Arab and western TV stations although local stations are allowed to carry out the investigative reporting in the same area without any control, An Nahar added.
Thousands of Syrian refugees have crossed into Lebanon to escape the violent crackdown by the regime of President Bashar Assad on pro-democracy protestors.
My friend am not a supporter of M14 but everyone knows that army intelligence is influenced by Syria, for your info all our passports are checked by Mokhabarat, this is how they control Lebanon
If your networks in Lebanon gets it. Why the foreigners cannot use it. Like reuters etc..
then you must be the biggest idiot since you read lebanese news? at the end of the day, you are lebanese but ashamed to admit it.
No question this is the hand of Syria. This is like when the Hezz keep everyone out of an are after an explosion. Syria and the Hezz like it in the darkness. When you shine the light of day on their evil they go crazy.
