Report: Fate of over 1,000 Hezbollah fighters remains unknown
The file of the missing fighters is troubling Hezbollah after around three weeks have passed since the ceasefire agreement took effect between Lebanon and Israel, Saudi Arabia’s Asharq al-Awsat newspaper has reported.
"The fate of more than 1,000 fighters remains unknown, after contact was lost with them and their bodies were not found until the moment," the daily said.
While it has not been verified whether they were killed in battles or that some of them were taken captive by the Israeli army, Hezbollah has informed their families that "contact has been lost with them" and that their fate will be determined in the coming period based on the search and rubble removal operations that started after the war, the newspaper added.
As if Lebanese needed yet another reason to conclude that we should have more aggressively and ruthlessly policed ourselves to remain out of Iran's and Hamas's war, more so still any one our elected officials did not, even unwisely, chose in our name.
See what happens when you have racism instead of law? I refer to Article 24 of the Lebanese Constitution which gives half of parliament to Christians.
Very simple math to determine their fate...refer to the last assigned position by Hezb, check that location if it's leveled from the air or rather still constructed, then you'd know if they were dead or alive.
