Man Dies from Heart Attack after Seeking to Mediate in Theft Row

NNA said that the father passed away at the Lebanese-Canadian Hospital after he was injured as he tried to mediate between his son Issam Kairouz, who works at a money exchange house, and two brothers from the Gedeon family.
The dispute could have turned into a gunfight hadn’t the man interfered. But the agency didn’t specify what type of injuries he sustained.
NNA said the argument erupted over the exchange of accusations on theft.
Police arrested the men for further questioning, it added.
