President Michel Aoun said he feels the suffering of the families of the detainees and the martyrs in the case of the Beirut port blast.

He added, during a meeting in Baabda with the families of the detainees, that he is "doing everything he can, within his powers and within the laws in order to achieve fairness and end the injustice against the innocents."

"The situation is difficult, as the judiciary and the Cabinet have been disrupted, and we are working to address the issue as we are aware of the extent of its serious repercussions," Aoun affirmed.

He asked if it is "acceptable to detain for a year and six months an employee who had fulfilled his duty and informed his superior."

Aoun stressed that he will follow up on the matter "until the truth is revealed and the responsibilities are defined without selectivity, politicization, obstruction, or delays, for every justice that shows up late is an obstructed justice."

They aren’t innocent and the least innocent of them is Michel Aoun himself.

They are jailed so that they can stay alive and hizbolla won't be able to assisinate them.
The judge knows what he is doing.
Leave him do his job.
We do not want more witnesses killed which is why they are jailed.
