Jumblat Meets Berri, Tells Hariri Electricity Loan is 'Not Reform'

Progressive Socialist Party leader ex-MP Walid Jumblat held talks Sunday with Speaker Nabih Berri and addressed a new jab at Prime Minister Saad Hariri despite the latest "pacification" between them.

"I heard PM Hariri's remarks in Dubai about reform, which is a great thing. We all support reform but the main topic in reform should be electricity and the additional treasury loan that has been requested for electricity is the wrong gateway towards reform," Jumblat said after the meeting in Ain el-Tineh.

"Speaker Berri is a pillar in the settlement and all things and he is the main partner in everything," Jumblat added.
