Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblat noted on Monday that the best thing that came out of the United States’ invasion of Iraq was its toppling of Saddam Hussein’s regime.

He said in his weekly editorial in the PSP-affiliated al-Anbaa magazine: “Despite the tens of thousands of lives that were lost in the invasion, the attack did at least accomplish one good thing and that is the toppling of a fascist regime.”

He added that the Iraqi authorities now have the great responsibility of “determining their fate by themselves, without any foreign intervention, during this fateful political moment.”

“They are obligated to construct a new Iraq that respects the diversity of its society under a new constitution that takes into consideration the minorities in the country, some of which were oppressed for decades,” noted the MP.

On Lebanese discussions on the parliamentary electoral law, Jumblat said that he will take a clear position on the matter at a later time.

What about their achievement in furnishing him with chemical and biological weapons that he used in the US war by proxy against Iran, a war that lasted over 8 years? The US pumps them up, then use them, then gets hurt by them, then they want to get rid of them, then they pump them up, then they use them, then gets hurt by the, then they want to get rid of them, then they pump them up... Well, you know the story of the idiot who never learns and can never learn. Superpower, my left foot.

Primo Dellio, thank God Israel was right there to send the Iranians all the weapons they so needed to defend themselves.

Primo Dellio vilifies the US while his/her cousin Wassa vilifies Israel. So who is worse, Israel or the US, and why does it seem that Wassa is addressing the comment to his/her cousin Primo? Where is the conflict? Duh!
