Report: Iran May Transfer Intelligence from U.S. Drone to Hizbullah

W460

An Iranian daily said Wednesday that Tehran may transfer to Syria and Hizbullah intelligence from a U.S. drone that was allegedly downed by Iranian armed forces.

The report came in the conservative Mellat newspaper as state radio said that the unmanned spy plane was deep inside Iran's airspace, flying over an eastern town famous for Persian carpets and saffron when it was downed.

The station said the stealth-version of the RQ-170 drone was detected by Iranian forces over the eastern town of Kashmar, some 225 kilometers from the border with Afghanistan.

It added that Iran will "soon" broadcast video footage of the downed drone.

But Iran's hardline Kayhan daily quoted an unnamed military expert as saying Iranian forces did not shoot down the drone.

The expert, though, said the Iranian military is capable of bringing it down in such a way that the "body of the plane and its parts remain intact."

Two U.S. officials confirmed to CNN on Tuesday that the drone was part of a CIA reconnaissance mission which involved both the intelligence community and military personnel stationed in Afghanistan.

If Iran does not know what to do with this intelligence, what good would it do the Hizb. A bunch of bozos that cannot produce anything in life with a gdp of oil minus. Even if Russia and China have a prototype they would not know what to do with it. The proof is in the pudding. Spare me this propaganda. It is dead a long time ago except in certain circles.

Yes, because the technology is detailed in a manual inside the plane, and translated to farsi and arabic among other languages. In case the iranians have questions they can find the answers on the Q&A of the CIA website.

we have differences with hizballah in its interference in local politics...
but absolutely not against israel, on the contrary it's beneficial on the border with occupied palestine and it cannot be used in a similar 7 may mistake, and definitely cannot help in wearing black shirts...no??

Gabby, did you get proof that the downed drone was actually a downed drone? The US seems to have some proof, but only the proof that you get counts, buddy. Rambo is not only Rambo in the movies. Just remember that, my friend.

Hmmm... this article makes no sense...

The drone was spying on some combination of Afghan Taliban positions and/or Iranian facilities. So if that's the intelligence data contained in the drone, what use is that data to HA???

If the intent here is to say that Iran will share with HA info on how to detect and defend against this type of drone - Duh! - then the wording should have been very different.
