Roadside Bomb Kills Policeman in Egypt's Sinai
إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربيةA roadside bomb killed an Egyptian policeman on Wednesday in the North Sinai provincial capital of El-Arish, police and medics said.
The province is a stronghold of loyalists of the Islamic State group.
Four police were also wounded by the bomb, which was detonated remotely as their armored vehicle passed.
The jihadists have killed scores of police and soldiers in attacks in the Sinai peninsula since the army ousted Islamist president Mohamed Morsi in July 2013.
They are seeking to establish a province of the self-declared IS "caliphate" straddling parts of Iraq and Syria and say their attacks are retaliation for a deadly government crackdown on Morsi's supporters since his ouster.
