Suleiman: Prisoner Swap Must Be Lesson for Israel that War is Useless

President Michel Suleiman hoped on Tuesday that Israel would release all prisoners in its jails, urging it to resume peace negotiations based on the 2002 Arab peace initiative.

He said: “The prisoner swap between Israel and the Palestinians should stand as a lesson to Israel that its policies of war and aggression are useless.”

The first phase of the release of 477 Palestinian prisoners took place on Tuesday, with some 550 expected to be released after two months.

In return, Israel ensured the release of soldier Gilad Shalit who was kidnapped five years ago.

Suleiman later held talks on Tuesday with Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour on the discussions that took place at the Arab foreign ministers conference on Syria that took place on Sunday.

Dear Mr. President, why don't we start by asking the "Shakika Suria" about our Lebanese prisoners who have been in Syrian jails for decades, most probably tortured on daily basis and many of them killed. Look waht they have been doing to their own citizens since the uprising, and we are now in the year 2011.

Mr President, the best advice you should give to the Israeli's is just let them run their own democracy without interfering in their internal affairs. For you your job is to track the MISSING LEBANESE IN SYRIA... get off your bottom and do some real work for us the LEbanese, or better still leave us alone and go to your friends in Damascus

We should kidnap a Syrian soldier to swap....nah that is useless, we should swap Orange Valium for all our prisoners in Syria, he is Syria's best asset in Lebanon
