A Lebanese and two Syrians have admitted to trying to smuggle arms to Syria to support anti-regime protestors in the neighboring country, a judicial source told As Safir daily published Saturday.

The newspaper said that the army intelligence thwarted the plot earlier in the week after it raided a neighborhood of the Beirut district of Tariq al-Jdideh and arrested Lebanese Ibrahim M. and Syrians Assef F. and Bassel Q.

The army seized in the raid Rocket Propelled Grenades, hand grenades, Kalashnikov rifles, night-vision goggles and Inerga-type RPGs, As Safir said.

It quoted sources as saying that the issue of arms smuggling to Syria has become a top priority for the Lebanese army which has taken strict measures on the Lebanese side of the border with Syria.

Such measures confirm the army’s resolve to confront any attempt that would threaten the security and stability of the two countries, they said.

This is a total B.S. propaganda show by Syria and the Hezz government criminals. We have yet to see any video, bodies, or captured "armed terrorist gangs" from Syria. With the borders of Jordan, Iraq, and Turkey available it just so happens that they used the Lebanese border which is crawling with Hezz, Leb army and Syrian army.

What a fraud. ASSad and the Hezz are getting desperate. They even try a childish trick like this.

Yes, we know, soon the smugglers will be on TV saying that Harriri himself gave them money to smuggle the arms. Enough already. Get the hell out Bashar.

So let as much in as you want, but do not let anything OUT. What a convenience to sway any way that you would like! Is there any one that can stand?

I really wonder when Lebanese realize that meddling in dispute in other countries is against Lebanon's interest because Lebanon itself is a small weak country.
