Bieber's Assault Case Put over Until April

Justin Bieber didn't attend a court proceeding related to an assault charge he faces in Toronto, but that didn't prevent his fans from showing up anyway.

Police allege Bieber hit a limousine driver several times in the back of the head after he and five others were picked in the early hours of December 30th.

Bieber turned himself in to police in January.

About a dozen young women gathered at a courthouse on Monday hoping the Canadian pop star would attend. Instead a subsequent hearing was set for April 14 — another proceeding Bieber isn't obliged to attend.

Bieber was charged with one count of assault. His lawyer says the charge is akin a misdemeanor. Brian Greenspan says there are witnesses who say Bieber "was not engaged in any wrongdoing."
