Suleiman Discusses with Geagea Resumption of National Dialogue
إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربيةPresident Michel Suleiman discussed with Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea at Baabda palace on Monday his invitation to resume the national dialogue.
Suleiman agreed with Geagea to keep contact at this critical stage, An Nahar newspaper reported on Tuesday.
The daily said that the talks tackled the attempts to strengthen the state institutions and its administrative body to fully carry out their tasks.
An Nahar said that the meeting lasted for two hours.
“The conferees had honest-direct discussions about the latest developments, especially the national dialogue and the electoral law,” the newspaper reported.
Suleiman moves to his summer residence in Beiteddine on Tuesday where he would hold talks with top officials on the all-party talks which he insists on holding to resolve the differences between the March 8 and 14 forces.
Interesting.... look at the posture of the two men.... How do you think is more confident in himself and what he believes in?
What they had in mind?
Mr Geagea: (Looking at his ex jailor- at least for 7 years). Maybe I should cry and express myself for the 11 years in prison. My revenge would be in taking Michel’s place. Anyhow he knows very well my intention but I have to play the game ;)
Mr President: (Looking at his ex prisoner), my ambition made me a president but also forced me to build ties with a prisoner whom half of the army wants him shot and the other half wants him hanged….
……………c'est la vie
Cheers
