Drunk Driver Kills Six in Poland
A drunk driver killed six pedestrians, including one child, on Wednesday in Poland, local police said.
The man lost control of his vehicle and careered into a group of pedestrians on the pavement, killing five people on the spot.
Three injured children were rushed to hospital, one of whom later died, according to Anna Gembala, a local police spokeswoman.
Tests on the driver revealed he had two grams of alcohol per liter of blood, way over the legal driving limit, Gembala told local radio.
The driver faces 12 years behind bars.
