Berri: Lebanon Will Not Forget UNIFIL’s Sacrifices

Speaker Nabih Berri said on Thursday that Lebanon won’t forget the United Nations Interim in Lebanon Force’s sacrifices for Lebanon.

He made his statement during a meeting with U.N. Truce Supervision Organization (UNTSO) chief Juha Kilpiä and an accompanying delegation.

The meeting was held in the presence of the speaker’s media adviser Ali Hamdan in Ain al-Tineh, the National News Agency reported.

The gatherers discussed the maritime borders dispute with Israel, with Kilpiä voicing his understanding of the Lebanese position on the matter.

The delegation vowed to assist Lebanon in settling this issue, which it said is of great importance because it can help preserve stability in the region.
