Read this story in English W460

I truly don't see the reason to fund the STL if all our smart politicians know who the killer is. We can give the money ($32M) to rebuild the houses destroyed in the bombs instead.

Forgive and forget then..how naiive. Why do you think assassinations keep happening? until the regime falls and assad is out of business, one day you or loved one may be an innocent bystander killed by car bomb. Then you will understand. Arrest Assad, Arrest nassrallah, arrest aoun, bomb Iran to the stone age, then lebanon will be free.

Thumb Captain 16:26 ,2012

@David Wehbe. The STL is based on false witnesses and manipulated data. They did not catch any killer yet. Nevertheless, our politicians know who the killers are. There are many suspects, but they always point the finger at one suspect. So actually we don't need a tribunal. We can save the money instead of paying the judges for their retirement.

The truth is no longer an absolute concept these days. It's all relative amigo... Just like you i say no party is needed in a 'sovereign' nation like ours :) - even is that party is termed the party of god... After all, I'm sure God has a better sense of fashion than a yellow flag with green scribbles and a machine gun...

The United States thru mossad (Israeli intelligence) killed him.
This was predicted by the Australian Foreign minister Bob Carr two weeks ago!
You are all so blind. The big idea is to make Assad look bad, and to extend the conflict to Lebanon!

Missing postscenium 19:58 ,2012

bla bla bla... back it up.

Thumb cedar 20:05 ,2012

Interviewed on Monday on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s “Four Corners” program, the foreign minister expressed concern that the Syrian army had proven a more effective fighting force than the so-called rebels, who have been funded and armed by Washington’s allies in the region, including Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

Carr continued. “Perhaps—this sounds brutal and callous—perhaps an assassination, combined with a major defection taking a large part of its military, is what is required to get, one, a ceasefire, and, two, political negotiations.”

So Yes, Predicted.

I have read your postings, you really talk very ill about someone who has good intention regardless of his family history. You try to always bring Israel in the picture but you seem very distant from the fact the Assad has killed more people in Lebanon and Syria than what Israel have killed in the entire Arab wars. So i see a greater evil being associated with Syria or Iran then with Israel. So please leave this out of date comparison at home it does not work anymore. Did Israel provide 50,000 rockets to a lebanese party to murder its own citizen as hozbshaytan has done.

Thumb lebanon_first 22:28 ,2012 تشرين الأول 20

assad doenst need israel's help to look bad. he already looks awful. and the conflict will not extend to lebanon. if it needed to extend, it would have.

Palestine ain't our problem - sure // Syria ain't our problem - not quite so much of solid statement. The spillovers cost our fragile economy dearly. Nonetheless...
What's better about what's happening now under the reign of the 'lesser evil'? There is no one on this planet (or any other) that would sell his underwear for power more willingly than el general. Especially now that he's older, less shameful, and a touch less sane.
I have no political affiliations whatsoever, i just hate the man (its a cat dog thing).

Missing postscenium 20:16 ,2012

So a man from 'down under' states "perhaps an assassination ..." when (probably) referring to assassinating l asad for all I know. And that exactly corresponds to the US and mussad killing our isf how exactly? You sound as legit as Hayek (not Salma - the guy that predicts the future).

Thumb lebnanfirst 20:32 ,2012

@dami
The sooner Lebanese and Arabs like you let go of false pride and dignity the better off all of us will be. Like you are the only one who wants his kids to grow up in peace in Lebanon?
The logic boggles the mind, HA and M8 advocate jihad and keeping us in a state of continuous war footing and you say "I think of it as the better of 2 evils"? How does that contribute to your kids living in peace? Put your false pride and dignity (which by the way HA and M8 are selling to Iran and Syria) aside and start re-thinking your faulty logic.

Thumb lebanon_first 22:25 ,2012 تشرين الأول 20

@dami/IMAD: You are convoluted in your name/brain and cheap talk. I have one and only one question: Who is killing all these Lebanese political and state official figures. I double dare you if you say anyone except the Syrian dogs in Lebanon. This is the only way how Iran/Syria will remain in control of Lebanon by eliminating anyone who speaks the truth. They will continue to kill every non-Syrian if we do not re-arm and begin removing the cancer from Lebanon. A new security system is required to protect those who are left, Otherwise everyone will need to live just like Nasrallah underground or leave Lebanon.

I don't care about politics but everyone knows who's behind all the assassinations and who gains the most. Dami you think your kids blood is more precious than the children of Syria . You scumbag

Yes, march 14 must arm itself to the teeth to offset the hizbollah mafia eating away at lebanese national interests to benefit iran and syria. first we were hostages to syria, now we are hostages to our neighbor in south beirut. Why they feel they have right to bear arms i have no clue. Drop your weapons or we will pick ones bigger and better. Start working for your country instead of iran and syria. be lebanese 100% or move out. Traitors.

How sad. Bashir (RIP) had a cause & a will. Many Lebanese believed in it.
But to see the rest of his family speak, well what can I say.
In fact I don't recall any of his family members being this outraged when he was assassinated. His own brother wore a white suit with a red rose one week after his death & waved to the crowd at the prospect of him becoming president. Why wasn't the Lebanese summoned to protest & hold vigil when your uncle died Sami? If you are unsure maybe go ask your father , why was our family not this concerened & outraged when my uncle the great Bashir was assassinated?
