زيارة مرتقبة لنائب وزير الخزانة الأميركي الى لبنان لـ"ضبط التفلت المالي"

يتوقع ان يزور نائب وزير الخزانة الاميركي نيل ستيفن وولن بيروت، خلال اليومين المقبلين، للقاء عدد من المسؤولين بهدف ضبط التفلت المالي، على ما افادت معلومات صحفية.
وأشارت صحيفة "النهار" الى ان وولن سيصل الى بيروت الثلاثاء أو الاربعاء للقاء عدد من المسؤولين سعياً الى "ضبط التفلت المالي لحالات فردية استثنائية سبق لوزارة الخزانة الاميركية أن اتخذت في حق القائمين بها تدابير عقابية".
واكدت الصحيفة ان " لا نية لدى الولايات المتحدة الأميركية لاستهداف القطاع المصرفي اللبناني بل تستهدف حصرا العمليات المالية لـ"حزب الله" أو تلك التي تصب في مصلحته".
وكانت وزارة الخزانة الاميركية قد فرضت عقوبات على عدد من الاشخاص والمؤسسات بتهمة تهريب المخدرات وتبييض الاموال بهدف تمويل "حزب الله".

what is funny about this, and it is funny, is the fact that hizbushaitan and their fpm cronies expect from the US to be intimidated into not applying international laws about money laundry and iran restrictions.
the US has all the mucle needed to enforce their decisions and bring doen our banking system. just ask any bank employee how strict are regulations these days.

@whyaskwhy, I am interested in hearing more of your opinion about US Mideast policy but please articulate your point better and site examples of what you are trying to say. BTW if we succeed in voting Mr. Obama out of office in November you will see a clearer and less conflicting message. Also if you are one of those who thinks the US will remove the Assad regime and put Lebanese interests before its own, you would be very mistaken.
