جنبلاط "يدعم جان عبيد كرئيس توافقي"

يقوم رئيس "الحزب التقدمي الاشتراكي" النائب وليد جنبلاط على "تسويق" اسم الوزير السابق جان عبيد كمرشح توافقي لرئاسة الجمهورية.
فقد أفادت صحيفة "الاخبار"، الجمعة، ان جنبلاط يسوّق اسم عبيد كونه قادر على تأمين التوافق، في حين ان بكركي عبّرت عن تأييدها لهذه الخطوة.
وأوضحت أن جنبلاط طرح أخيراً أمام عدد من المعنيين بالملف الرئاسي في لبنان والخارج تأييده لعبيد، موضحاً انه "لا يزال يدعم النائب هنري حلو كمرشح اختاره، لكنه يعرف أنه في نهاية المطاف سيتعين على الجميع اختيار مرشح توافقي".
ولفتت الصحيفة إلى أن بكركي حين فوتحت باسم عبيد "لم تمانع ولم تضع أي فيتو عليه، لا بل إنها رحّبت باختياره كاسم توافقي انطلاقاً من تمسكها بضرورة إجراء الانتخابات في أسرع وقت ممكن".
وكشفت معلومات مفادها ان "اسم عبيد يلاقي قبولاً لدى عائلة الحريري".
يُذكر ان فريق 14 آذار يخوض المعركة الرئاسية بمرشحه رئيس "حزب القوات اللبنانية" سمير جعجع، في حين يدعم جنبلاط، مرشح "اللقاء الديمقراطي" النائب هنري حلو، ولا مرشح معلن لفريق 8 آذار وسط اصرار رئيس "التيار الوطني الحر" النائب ميشال عون على خوض الانتخابات الرئاسية "توافقياً".
ودخل لبنان في الشغور الرئاسي بعد فشل النواب في انتخاب رئيس جديد ورفض الرئيس السابق ميشال سليمان تمديد ولايته والقى خطاب الوداع في 24 أيار.

Obeid was one of the original candidates that were mentioned along with Baroud, Harb and Kahwagi. Anyone of these would work out as consensual candidates at this point...just have Geagea and Aoun retire in the background for good once and for all.
