أجرى الرئيس ميشال سليمان اتصالا مطولا مع الرئيس بشار الاسد هنأه فيه بالعيد وتناولا آخر التطورات على الساحتين اللبنانية والسورية.
كما بحث الرئيسان في تداعيات المواقف العربية والدولية على الوضع في سوريا ولبنان بحسب ما ذكرت إذاعة "صوت لبنان (100.3-100.5)".
كذلك، توجه سليمان الى اللبنانيين عموما والمسلمين خصوصا، بالتهنئة، متمنيا لهم وللبنان الخير والسعادة والاستقرار.
وهنأ القيادات والمرجعيات الروحية الاسلامية، كما اجرى اتصالات مماثلة بعدد من الملوك والرؤساء العرب للمناسبة عينها.
