Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea on Friday noted that “the importance of the March 13 rally lies in raising the issue of weapons without any fears.”

“The situations in Lebanon won’t improve without resolving this dilemma, that’s why that day will represent a decisive moment,” Geagea said on the eve of an expected mass rally at the Martyrs Square to commemorate the March 14 anniversary.

Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea on Tuesday said he believes that there will be “another Cedar Revolution” in Lebanon on Sunday as “the first one did not achieve its objectives.”

In an interview on Future News television, Geagea also said he was convinced that “we can’t advance in any field with the presence of Hizbullah’s arms.”

As expected, the March 14 forces on Sunday officially announced their refusal to take part in the country's new government.

The March 14 forces "reject to legitimize the coup … and reject to turn into observers who cannot prevent violations," the coalition said in a statement recited by ex-PM Fouad Saniora after an extraordinary meeting for its 60 MPs at the Bristol Hotel in Beirut.

In remarks to As Safir daily on Wednesday, Geagea said: “Issues linked to the international tribunal and Hizbullah’s arms no longer afford vague stances” from Premier-designate Najib Miqati.

He told the daily An Nahar in remarks published on Saturday that the current chaos over the cabinet formation will not threaten Lebanon even if it does take a long time to set up a government, explaining that the army, security forces, and justice system will prevent any instability.

If the practices of the first tutelage authority had led to the Cedar Revolution, the mere signs of the emergence of another tutelage authority "will lead to countless Cedar Revolutions," Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea vowed Monday.

"They are trying once again to restore hegemony and we will confront them once more, but this time, we have learned from our mistakes and we will not fall into their trap again," Geagea added.
