Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday vowed to fight on against Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants, in the face of mounting attacks on security forces blamed on the Kurdish rebels.

"Let me put it clearly, the operations will continue," he said in a televised speech in Ankara, as Turkey presses on with air strikes on PKK targets in the country's southeast and in northern Iraq. 

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Tuesday vowed that Turkey would press on with a campaign against Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) militants "until not one terrorist remains."

"We will continue our fight until weapons are laid down... and not one single terrorist remains within our borders," Erdogan said in a televised speech in Ankara.

Two prosecutors behind a graft probe that targeted the inner circle of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan fled to Armenia via Georgia after an arrest warrant was issued against them, officials said Friday.

The Istanbul prosecutor's office on Monday ordered the arrest of Zekeriya Oz, Celal Kara and Mehmet Yuzgec on accusations of "forming an organization to commit crime" and "attempting to overthrow the government by force".

Russian President Vladimir Putin is having a change of heart on the Kremlin's wholehearted support for Syrian leader Bashar Assad and may "give up on him" in the future, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was quoted as saying Monday.

Turkey, which has taken in some 1.8 million Syrian refugees since the conflict started in 2011, has repeatedly said that it has been left to shoulder a disproportionate burden as Western states stand by.

The co-leader of Turkey's main Kurdish party on Thursday dismissed air strikes and police raids by Ankara against Islamic State (IS) jihadists as a "show", saying their real target was Kurdish militants.

In an interview with Agence France-Presse, Selahattin Demirtas of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) said the peace process between Turkey and Kurdish militants was now "in deep crisis" due to the offensive by Ankara against the separatist rebels but insisted it should not be written off.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping for talks in Beijing on Wednesday, a day after securing NATO's backing for Ankara's fight against Islamic State militants.

Ankara is expanding a cross-border campaign against the Islamic State group in Syria, and also attacking positions of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party in northern Iraq after deadly attacks inside Turkey.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Tuesday that Ankara could not continue the peace process with the Kurds amid continuing attacks against Turkish targets.

"It is not possible to carry on the (peace) process with those who target our national unity and brotherhood," he said, referring to the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).

The head of Turkey's main opposition party on Sunday said it was ready to go into coalition with the Islamic-rooted ruling party and end the political impasse that has persisted since June 7 elections.

The ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan failed to win an overall majority in the elections for the first time since it came to power in 2002, leaving Turkey facing either coalition government or early elections.
