Wave of Iraq Attacks Kills at Least 33

Militants carried out bombings and shootings in 10 cities and towns in Iraq on Sunday, killing at least 33 people and wounding 106, in the latest wave of deadly attacks to hit the country.

Israelis Kill Palestinian Fisherman in Gaza

Fighting Rages in Syria's Aleppo, East Damascus

Around 100 people were killed across Syria as fighting raged in a strategic district of Syria's commercial capital Aleppo on Saturday, the third day of a rebel offensive to seize the city, a watchdog said.

The focal point of combat was Salaheddin, a rebel stronghold on the southwest side of the city where insurgents attacked an army position, said the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

Iran Opposition Group Hails Removal from U.S. Terror List

Egypt PM Denies Copts Fled Sinai Town over Death Threats

Prime Minister Hisham Qandil on Saturday denied that Copts had fled their homes in Egypt's Sinai peninsula, after officials and residents said the Christians left after receiving death threats from suspected Islamists.

Iran Says Israel already Passed Own Nuclear Red Line'

Israel has already breached its own red line set by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu by acquiring "dozens of nuclear warheads," Iranian Defense Minister Ahmed Vahidi said on Saturday.

"If having the atomic bomb is passing the red line, the Zionist regime, that possesses dozens of nuclear warheads and weapons of mass destruction, has passed the red line years ago, and it has to be stopped," he said, according to the ISNA news agency.
