Israel police say two dead in stabbing, car ramming attack by Palestinian

A Palestinian from the Israeli-occupied West Bank killed a woman and a man in a stabbing and car-ramming attack before police shot and wounded him Friday, police and rescuers said.

"Preliminary investigation indicates this was a rolling terror attack that began in the city of Beit Shean, where a pedestrian was run over," the police said in a statement.

Blast in mosque in Alawite area of Syria's Homs kills 6

A bombing at a mosque located in the Syrian city of Homs during Friday prayers killed at least six people and wounded 21 others, authorities said.

Images released by Syria's state-run Arab News Agency showed blood on the mosque's carpets, holes in the walls, shattered windows and fire damage. The Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib Mosque is located in a predominantly Alawite area of the Wadi al-Dhahab neighborhood in Homs, Syria's third-largest city.

KSA strikes Hadramawt after urging UAE-backed separatists to leave south Yemen

Saudi Arabia, the main backer of Yemen's internationally-recognized government, conducted air strikes on separatist positions in Hadramawt on Friday, according to local media and the UAE-backed separatist Southern Transitional Council.

"The Saudi Air Force bombed positions of the Hadrami Elite Forces in Wadi Nahb in Hadramawt," the separatist-linked Aden Independent Channel said in a social media post. Saudi officials would not immediately confirm the operation.

Yemen's warring sides to release some 2,700 prisoners in war's largest exchange

Yemen's internationally recognized government and the Iran-backed Houthi group have reached an agreement to free around 2,700 detainees held throughout the war in Yemen, according to Saudi and Houthi officials.

Saudi Ambassador Mohamed AlJabir said in a statement on X that the agreement was signed under the supervision of the Office of the UN Special Envoy for Yemen and the International Committee of the Red Cross, "which will enable all detainees to return to their families."
