State Commissioner to the Military Court, Judge Claude Ghanem, on Monday filed charges against four more Hezbollah members for possessing and transporting military weapons, media reports said.

Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri on Monday held separate talks in Ain el Tineh with U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon Michel Issa and French Ambassador Herve Magro.

Berri and Magro discussed the latest developments on the ground and the political situation resulting from Israel's continued attacks against Lebanon, the National News Agency said.

Hezbollah said it targeted overnight Israeli troops in Khiam, Odaisseh and al-Taybeh. It also targeted troops and bases in the occupied Golan and north of Kfar Yuval in the Galilee Panhandle of northern Israel.

Troops were also trying to enter Lebanese territories from the southern border towns of Yaroun and Maroun al-Ras, state-run National News Agency said.

Seven people, including children, were killed by Israeli airstrikes on south Lebanon Monday.

A strike on a home in the southern village of Kfar Sir had killed one person early Monday. Another strike occurred after paramedics from the Islamic Health Society, Hezbollah’s health arm, arrived at the scene, killing two paramedics and wounding another person.

Britain is sending 5 million pounds ($6.6 million) to humanitarian organizations in Lebanon.

The funds are intended to help provide food, water and shelter for some of the more than 800,000 people displaced by the Israeli war.

Israel launched fresh strikes on Beirut's southern suburbs late Sunday as Israel's military said it was striking Hezbollah infrastructure in the city following earlier raids mainly in the country's south.

A midnight strike, heard in the capital, came after a morning Israel army evacuation warning for Beirut's southern suburbs, which Israel has repeatedly struck in the past fortnight.

The Israeli military said on Monday it had begun what it described as "limited ground operations" against Hezbollah in southern Lebanon.

Lebanon was drawn into the Middle East war on March 2 when the Tehran-backed Hezbollah attacked Israel in response to the killing of Iranian supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in U.S.-Israeli strikes, with Israel launching air raids on the neighboring country and troop incursions into border areas.

Daily contacts are taking place between Israel and Lebanon with U.S. and French mediation, the Israel Hayom newspaper has reported.

Mahmoud Qmati, the deputy head of Hezbollah's Political Council, has rejected the reported French proposal to end the war between his group and Israel, saying it was "born dead."

Israel said on Sunday that no direct talks were planned with Lebanon to end the war, a day after a Lebanese official said Beirut was preparing a delegation to negotiate with Israel.
