Bangladesh's High Commissioner to Kenya Wahidur Rahman has been attacked and slightly injured during a robbery at his Nairobi home, police said Sunday.

Nairobi detective Nicholas Kamwende said two of the diplomat's local guards had been detained for questioning after Saturday night's attack.

A British detective gave evidence Monday in Kenya at the trial of suspected British militant Jermaine Grant, accused of ties to Somalia's al-Qaida-linked Shebab and plotting attacks.

Grant was arrested in December 2011 in Mombasa with various chemicals, batteries and switches, which prosecutors say he planned to use to make explosives. He denies the charges.

Kenya on Thursday accused the U.S. development agency USAID of trying to "destabilize" the country by financing anti-government demonstrations.

The chairman of National Security Advisory Committee (NSAC), Francis Kimemia, accused USAID of financing "clandestinely planned" demonstrations held to "pour vitriol" on the nation's parliament.

Kenya's attorney general on Thursday rejected accusations that Nairobi had failed to cooperate with International Criminal Court prosecutors' crimes against humanity case against President Uhuru Kenyatta.

"The impression has been created in this court and elsewhere that Kenya has not at any time extended cooperation," Attorney General Githu Muigai told a hearing on the troubled case at The Hague-based ICC.

A court in the Kenyan capital on Wednesday released on bail four Somali men charged in connection with a blast last month at Nairobi's international airport.

The explosion took place on January 16 at a cafe adjacent to one of the terminal buildings at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), the region's busiest transport hub. There were no casualties.

Three people were stabbed Friday in the Kenyan coastal city of Mombasa when fresh rioting broke out after Friday prayers, police said.

"The prosecution has realized that its case has collapsed," lawyer Steven Kay told judges in The Hague, where Kenyatta faces charges for his role in the deadly 2007-08 post-poll violence that rocked the east African country.

More than 100 people arrested after deadly rioting following a police raid on a Kenyan mosque were charged Monday for being members of Somalia's Al-Qaida linked Shebab insurgents.

"We received information that there was a jihad convention in the mosque and that's when we moved in," said local police chief Robert Kitur.

Four Somali men appeared in court Monday to face charges of an alleged attack on a cafe in Nairobi's airport, which police had initially dismissed as an exploding light bulb.

Anti-terrorism police officer Leonard Bwire said the four men were charged with having "planned and executed" a failed attack on the cafe at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) last month, the region's busiest transport hub.
