Palestinian Dies of Wounds from West Bank Clashes

A Palestinian wounded in early December during clashes with Israeli troops in the occupied West Bank has died of his injuries, the Palestinian health ministry said on Friday.

Shadi Ghabish died overnight at his home near the Jalazon refugee camp from complications after undergoing two operations at a Ramallah hospital to remove bullets from his body, the ministry said.

"A Palestinian attacker rammed his vehicle into forces securing routes near Huwara and wounded a soldier," an army statement said, referring to a checkpoint near Nablus in the north of the occupied West Bank.

Genadi Kaufman, 41, was seriously injured near the Jewish holy site the Tomb of the Patriarchs in Hebron on December 7 by a Palestinian who stabbed him before being shot dead by Israeli border guards.
