DreamWorks Animation will release new original shows exclusively on Netlix, under a deal announced Monday by the video service and the studio behind blockbusters "Shrek" and "Kung Fu Panda."

It's intended to be the launching pad for DC's own cinematic universe, one they hope can rival Marvel's when it comes to boxoffice receipts. So does "Man of Steel" live up to the immense hype, or does it crash under the weight of its lofty ambitions? While the movie does more right than it does wrong, it's not the home run many - including myself - were hoping for.
