The Savannah Music Festival, an annual collection of performances that strives to cross genres, announced Wednesday that it would expand into opera for its 2015 season.

Taylor Swift's "1989" sold nearly 1.3 million copies in the United States in its first week, making it the biggest album release in 12 years, data showed late Tuesday.

Sales tracking service Nielsen Soundscan said that "1989," released a week ago, sold 1.287 million copies in the week through Sunday.
