The choreographer leading a Lebanese dance troupe that shot to fame by winning the 'America's Got Talent' TV contest castigated Lebanese politicians and called for revolution upon landing back in Beirut Friday.

The news of a Lebanese dance group winning the TV competition show America's Got Talent brought a rare moment of joy on Thursday to many in the crisis-hit country.

Mayyas, an all-female dance troupe, dazzled the show's judges and audience on the competition's 17th season before winning $1 million and a headlining show at the Luxor Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The group paid tribute to Lebanon during their performances and on social media in the buildup to the finale.

Oscar-winning director Pedro Almodóvar says that he is withdrawing from his first English-language feature, "A Manual for Cleaning Women" produced by and starring Cate Blanchett.

Almodóvar, 72, told entertainment news website Deadline Hollywood that he was unable to handle the commitment.

The fictional Lydia Tár is a celebrated composer, musician, philanthropist and conductor, and the first ever woman to preside over an important German orchestra, who we meet as she's preparing to debut her autobiography "Tár on Tár" and complete the Mahler cycle with the orchestra.

Gina Prince-Bythewood didn't get very far into reading the script for "The Woman King," a historical epic about a real West African army of female warriors, before she knew she wanted to direct it.

"Literally five pages into it I knew it was going to be my next film," Prince-Bythewood says. "I felt so connected to these women. I was so excited. When they rise up out of the grass I was like, 'Ohhhh, I want to shoot that.'"

Actor Anne Heche died without a will, and her 20-year-old son has filed court papers to control her estate.
