There was widespread joy in the German press on Thursday as Bayern Munich's 3-0 win at Barcelona means the Bavarians will face Borussia Dortmund in an all-German Champions League final on May 25 -- the first time two Bundesliga clubs will contest a European Cup final.

After Bayern had trounced Barca at Munich's Allianz Arena 4-0 in the semi-final first leg, Jupp Heynckes' side booked their third Champions League final in four years with Wednesday's second leg romp at the Camp Nou for a 7-0 aggregate win

Midfielder Mario Goetze admitted he was delighted to score Borussia Dortmund's winning goal in their 2-1 victory over Werder Bremen on Friday as the 50th season of the Bundesliga kicked-off.

The 20-year-old suffered with a persistent groin problem last season which kept him out of football from December until May, when he was involved in the last three games as Dortmund won the league title.

Borussia Dortmund were crowned German league champions for the second consecutive season on Saturday having proved their worth by beating main title rivals Bayern Munich home and away.

Dortmund's win at home to Moenchengladbach left the defending champions eight points clear with two games remaining and they will be presented with the Bundesliga shield in their final game at home to Freiburg on May 5.
