Israeli Diplomatic Missions Get 'Anthrax' Threat Mail

Envelopes containing white powder initially feared to be anthrax arrived at six Israeli diplomatic missions in Europe and the U.S., Israeli media reported on Tuesday.

According to reports, embassies in The Hague, Brussels and London and consulates in New York, Houston and Boston on Monday received envelopes with the word "anthrax" on them, containing what turned out to be harmless white powder.

Anti-Wall Street March Shakes up New York

Thousands of anti-corporate demonstrators backed for the first time in large numbers by trade unions poured into New York's financial district Wednesday, raising the stakes in a more than two-week long street revolt.

More than 5,000 people crammed into Foley Square in lower Manhattan, where the city's courts and government buildings are located, before marching toward Wall Street. Union officials estimated the number at 8,000 to 12,000 and it was clearly the biggest protest yet for the fledgling movement.

Aftershock Jolts U.S. East Coast

A 4.5 magnitude aftershock jolted Virginia and the region around the U.S. capital early Thursday, rattling residents recovering from a rare east coast earthquake two days earlier.

The epicenter of the tremor which struck at 1:07 am (0507 GMT) was just eight kilometers (five miles) south of Mineral, Virginia, the epicenter of Tuesday's 5.8 magnitude quake, the National Earthquake Information Center reported.

They savor pizza and burgers, no longer frighten children, and many of them can walk the streets without people knowing they have someone else's cheeks, nose, lips and skin. People who have had face transplants increasingly are going public, helping to transform an operation that six years ago was daredevil theory into one that is widely accepted.

At least 18 face transplants have been done around the world, starting with a French woman mauled by her dog in November 2005, said Dr. Maria Siemionow, at Cleveland Clinic. She did the first face transplant in the U.S. in December 2008.
