'The Young and the Restless' Celebrates 41 Years

"The Young and the Restless" took a break from love, deception and backstabbing to celebrate the TV soap's 41st anniversary on Tuesday.

Led by longtime stars Eric Braeden, Melody Thomas Scott and Peter Bergman, the cast and crew gathered to celebrate a day early. The CBS show has been daytime's top-rated soap since December 1988 and was recently renewed through 2017.

U.S. 'Disappointed' by Saudi Denial of Jerusalem Post Reporter Visa

The White House said Tuesday it is "very disappointed" that Saudi Arabia has denied a Jerusalem Post reporter's visa to cover President Barack Obama's visit to the kingdom later this week.

Camera Used on Moon Landing Sold for $758,489

It was put on auction as a camera that made it to the moon and back. And it had its price — nearly $760,000.

The Hasselblad 500 sold over the weekend is described by Vienna auctioneers Galerie Westlicht as part of the equipment carried by the 1971 Apollo 15 mission, the fourth manned mission to land on the moon. Galerie Westlicht identifies the new owner as Japanese businessman Terukazu Fujisawa.

WHO: Pollution Kills 7 Million People Every Year

Before his mother became the model for Blanche DuBois of "A Streetcar Named Desire" and his sister the inspiration for Laura Wingfield of "The Glass Menagerie," Tennessee Williams drew upon a college girlfriend — if only in name — to tell a story of desire, drunkenness and regret.

"Crazy Night" is a work of short fiction unseen by the general public until this month's release in the spring issue of The Strand Magazine, a quarterly based in Birmingham, Michigan. The story is narrated by a college freshman who confides about his romance with a senior, Anna Jean. Williams, while attending the University of Missouri at Columbia, briefly dated fellow student Anna Jean O'Donnell and wrote poetry about her.

Italy Coach Prandelli Agrees to 2-Year Extension
